Ubisoft joined the list of gaming publishers announcing E3 replacement events for this summer when they announced Ubisoft Forward, which will take place on Sunday, July 12. The event will be delivered digitally on streaming platforms.
While no specific games were indicated as being part of the show, Ubisoft’s press release stated that Ubisoft Forward will be “a fully digital showcase with exclusive game news, reveals and more.” Previously delayed games like Watch Dogs Legion and Rainbow Six Quarantine seem likely to appear in the show, as well as the recently announced Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla.
With the Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5 releasing later this year, Ubisoft will likely focus their presentation on next-generation games during Ubisoft Forward. Earlier this year, the publisher announced that they would be releasing five AAA games between now and the first quarter of 2021. In addition, Ubisoft has shown off highly anticipated titles like Beyond Good and Evil 2 and Skull and Bones in past years, only to go silent on them or delay them indefinitely in recent months. Inclusion of those game, even as only an update, would likely generate a lot of excitement for fans of the Ubisoft brand.
