Skull & Bones is an upcoming project published by Ubisoft and developed by Ubisoft Montreal. The project went through multiple delays considering the very little time they had to release the game (originally teased in 2017 and planned on an Initial release in 2018). Three delays have passed, and Skull & Bones had an announcement to release somewhere after March from this year.
Recent rumors struck this week, as it suggests; Skull & Bones‘ development is going through a resetting process. Due to constraint issues, Ubisoft realigned the project to Ubisoft Montreal to work with instead. Ubisoft also “supposedly” had financial contracts (tax-related probably) with the government of Singapore to release the game this year. So basically, Ubisoft Montreal has very little time to unveil the game to the market and fix as many bugs and problems as they can.
If this rumor is true, then we’d expect a totally different Skull & Bones than the one we already have seen. Nothing will endure the ability to sustain this game in the market unless Ubisoft is planning on performing a CD Projekt REDish kind of long-term plan to accommodate large patches. We shouldn’t forget that this is a rumor and will stay that way until Skulls & Bones releases. Take this rumor with a massive grain of salt, as you should with every Ubisoft rumor you’ll hear in the incoming days. What do you think? Let us know in our Discord Server.
