When HB Studios combined forces with 2K Sports last year to transform what had been The Golf Club into PGA Tour 2K21, golf fans rejoiced. Golf simulation games were rare since 2013’s Tiger Woods PGA Tour 2014. Electronic Arts’ attempted revival of the series with Rory McIlroy PGA Tour was an unmitigated disaster. HB Studios would hopefully fill the void, and they did just that with the release of PGA Tour 2K21.
Sports video games in 2021 need consistent content additions to keep players engaged, and PGA Tour 2K21 introduced Clubhouse Pass and Seasons to provide that. Season 2 of the Clubhouse Pass launches today with 75 new levels of gear to earn and unlock. This includes gear from popular brands like Titleist and Footjoy.
What’s In Season 2?
Clubhouse Pass has three tiers, and you’re automatically a part of the free base tier if you own PGA Tour 2K21. If you want the good stuff, you can upgrade:
- Free Clubhouse Pass: Get access to 15 of the 75 levels, and earn rewards after completing every 5th level.
- Premium ($7.99 USD): Gets you access to all 75 levels of rewards.
- Premium+ Pass ($14.99 USD): You’re too good to be bothered with the first 20 levels, so skip them automatically AND immediately get the rewards for the first 20 levels too!
Finally, you can’t have a great golf simulation game without some amazing licensed courses to play on. Remember when Rory McIlroy PGA Tour launched with just eight courses? PGA Tour 2K21 already has a lot more than that, and is introducing The Bay Hill Club & Lodge in Orlando, FL alongside the start of Season 2.
The best part? The Bay Hill Club & Lodge is not tied to Clubhouse Pass, and is included for everyone who owns PGA Tour 2K21.
PGA Tour 2K21 is available on Xbox One and can be purchased here.
