In the Huddle: Madden 21 Team of the Week for Week 1

Week one of the 2020 NFL season is in the books. Vegas might be good, Aaron Rodgers is definitely still good, and Tom Brady looked every bit of his 43 years. The Los Angeles teams opened up their brand new $5 billion stadium as the Rams beat the Cowboys on Sunday night. Sadly, my Vikings looked pretty pedestrian in a loss to the Packers.

With a new season of NFL football comes new Team of the Week players for Madden Ultimate Team in Madden 21. Before we get into the actual Team of the Week players, there are a few changes to how TOTW works this year.

  1. Heroes for offense and defense are no longer current players. This weeks heroes, Arian Foster and Bryant Young, are from past seasons.
  2. The Limited Time card for Team of the Week will focus on a player who did something historic in past versions of the current week number. This week’s player is T.J. Watt of the Pittsburgh Steelers, who was dominant in Week 1 of 2018.
  3. The Player of the Week represents a player who was dominant in the most recent week this year. This week, the honor goes to Davante Adams, who was simply overpowering for the Packers against the Vikings on Sunday.
