EA Play Coming to Xbox Game Pass November 10th

EA Play was recently confirmed to be merging with Xbox Game Pass Ultimate. Now we have a date to look forward to: November 10th. This is already in our Game Pass weekly update, along with all the games joining and leaving this week. Make sure to check that out too!

EA Play will join Xbox Game Pass for console on November 10th, the launch date of the Series S and X. That means you’ll have a heap of extra games ready to play on your next-generation console. Players can look forward to titles such as FIFA 20, Madden 20, the Mass Effect series, the Dragon Age series and more! This is certainly an exciting moment, and one that the entire Xbox community is excited for!

If you’ve been enjoying Xbox Cloud Gaming on the go then you’re in luck! Many of the titles in EA Play’s vault will be available to play on your Android smartphone or tablet. We haven’t had any precise information on which games will be available for cloud streaming. However, it’s exciting to hear that some of the EA library will be playable on the go!

EA Play is also joining Xbox Game Pass for PC, but this won’t happen until a later date. The team at Xbox shared that it will arrive on the PC service in December, but we don’t have an exact date to report yet. However, it seems likely that PC gamers won’t have to wait longer than a month to gain access to some of EA’s greatest titles.

EA Play is EA’s own subscription service, formerly known as EA Access. It is very similar to Xbox Game Pass, so this merger seems fitting. The only key difference is that EA do not release their brand new games on the service. Subscribers typically have to wait between 6 months and a year for the latest games to become available. There’s no exact timeline, and the wait seems to be different for every game. This means you won’t be able to play Star Wars Squadrons or Jedi: Fallen Order yet, but they may reach the service over the next year.

If you’re not ready to upgrade to the next-generation of consoles just yet, don’t panic! EA Play will be available for all Game Pass Ultimate subscribers. It will join the service the same day the new consoles launch, but Xbox One players will still get access to all these games too!

With EA Play joining the service, there’s never been a better time to subscribe to Xbox Game Pass. You can do so here. There’s not long left to wait until the new generation of consoles launch, and the whole Generation Xbox team are very excited!
