Diablo 2: Resurrected Announced, Launching on Xbox in 2021

Diablo 2: Resurrected has been officially confirmed at Blizzconline, confirming suspicions that they were indeed working on a remaster of the classic action RPG. The game is being developed by Blizzard and Vicarious Visions, which they merged in to their main development team earlier this year. Diablo 2: Resurrected will also include the Lord of Destruction expansion, along with the two classes introduced in the expansion: Assassin and Druid.

This is a full remaster of the original game, boasting stunning graphics whilst preserving the beloved gameplay that fans adored 20 years ago. Those who want to play the game with it’s original graphics can too, as there is a toggle to trigger the older, 2D art style.

Diablo 2 Resurrected is launching on all major platforms, including Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S, with cross-progression. This means you can transfer your save and play the same character across platforms. However, the game will not include cross platform play.

Diablo 2: Resurrected is launching later this year for $39.99. In the meantime, you can grab Diablo 3 here on Xbox One and Series X|S.
